Akademy 2010
2010 edition of Akademy, the annual developer conference of the open source desktop environment project KDE, will be held in the city of Tampere, Finland. KDE is one of the leading open source desktop projects, known by the majority of Linux users. Akademy will take place the first week of July 2010. The conference will be organized by COSS, the Finnish Centre for Open Source Solutions.

The conference will focus on the current and future state of the KDE project, community activities, software development methods, user interfaces and business opportunities. Hundreds of software developers, testers, user interface experts and usability experts are expected to the conference, which is described by the organisers as one of the open source related event ever held in Finland.
